Like any medical procedure or medication, I imagine this supplement does not help everyone but, in conjunction with Calm PRT, Calm CP helps me considerably. I had a saliva test that showed my cortisol level is too high late at night which interferes with sleep and that, in turn, has many negative effects. I take 3 of the Calm CP plus 3 Calm PRT every evening as prescribed by my physician and, in combination, they reduce my anxiety level by about 25% and allow me to sleep through the night about 2-3 nights a week. That may not seem ideal but it has made a big difference in my life. Previously I was lucky to sleep through the night 2 times a month and both my husband and my physician say I appear more relaxed since I begin taking these a few months ago. My physician, who is a complementary medicine M.D., is trying to decide whether to up my dose still further. It would probably be a good idea to see a complementary medicine M.D. or osteopath who prescribes supplements to decide whether these are right for you as they can do a saliva test to see what your night time cortisol level is.My stomach is bothered easily but the Calm CP doesn't bother me although the Calm PRT does a little and I must take it at meal time. I was told that too low a does of the Calm PRT (NOT Calm CP) can actually increase rather than decrease anxiety, so again---a good reason to consult an expert. The only real downside to me of the CALM products is the cost since both of these tend to average (the price varies over time) about 70 cents/per pill meaning I'm spending more than $4/day. For cost reasons, I'm hoping that if I can eventually get off these as I can't afford that price indefinitely---I'm hoping at some point the effects of the medication can reverse whatever is causing the sleep and anxiety problems. .If you have trouble with anxiety or difficulty achieving a relaxed state prior to sleep, I hope this product helps you as much it does me! It is as effective as my anxiety prescription but safe, all natural, with no side effects. It does not make me actually sleepy and I can take it during the day. It just lessens the anxiety felt, so I can work, sleep, relax or enjoy myself. I take 2 for low anxiety and have taken as many as 4 at a time for high anxiety. It is not habit forming and I can easily not take it for weeks until needed. This product was recommended to me by my chiropractor to calm the "flight or fight" instinct that get triggered too easily in my case.I recently bought 2 bottles for my sister, who is a hospital nurse, and deals with very stressful situations. She found this helps her to let go of the work day stress in the evenings so she can unwind, allowing her to sleep more restfully. I cannot recommend this product highly enough. This new formulation doesn't work as well as the original. Not for me at least. This isn't psychological either. I noticed a difference in my sleeping, before I realized they'd changed the pills. I discovered the change by accident. I had some ofthe old pills and happened to notice they looked different after I opened the new bottle. I looked at the ingredients, realized the difference and then I went to the Neuroscience website. Sure enough they explain the change. It's supposed to be better now. I don't buy it.I did my own test. The original worked much better. I slept faster and deeper. No waking up during the night and I woke up in the morning refreshed. Everytime. (That's why I started taking these again after a 2 yr hiatus. I knew they'd helped so well before.) With this new formulation, I sometimes wake up during the night. And I don't wake up in the morning feeling as refreshed either. I don't like this new formula.I'm disappointed in Neuroscience. They shouldn't have messed with what was working.Very good product. I take 2 at around 6 and am usually relaxed enough to go to sleep by 10pm. It has also helped reduce very slightly my belly fat (may not affect everyone the same way). Also helps me maintain an A1C under 5.7 with exercise and good eating habits. When my husband takes this he is more likely to sleep through the night. I recommend taking it at dinner time rather than right before bed. Do wish it was less $$$I have been using calm CP for years to help me sleep. I take two capsules about 30 minutes before bed and it knocks me out. Makes me feel very calm and I sleep the whole night. I don’t sleep well when I run out.If you have problems lowering your cortisol at night, this is the thing you need. Its natural so it will help lower your cortisol naturally. Don't take addictive sleeping pills! Two of these before bed will do the trick. If you need a little extra, add a little all natural melatonin and you will be good for sure. I had trouble sleeping and my doctor said she didn't know why and just gave me sleeping pills. I wasn't satisfied with that so I went to a nutritionist who recommended this and it has worked really well. Now I sleep well every night. The only drawback is the cost. This stuff is not cheap. But to me its worth it for a good night's sleep. My cortisol has been very high for several years, and another Neuroscience supplement helped me a lot. But it wasn't until Calm CP was prescribed that I knew my cortisol was finally decreasing. Just finished my first bottle, taking 3 capsules at night, and 2 in the morning. These instructions came from my licensed, knowledgeable physician, and only after Neuroscience provided the test results from my urine specimen. It's expected that I will have to remain on this supplement for another 2 or 3 months, with my progress being closely monitored. I am so thankful to be back on the road to recovery.
